Upon application of the property owner, the City of Ottawa can assist owners in the removal of dead/dying/ dangerous trees located in adjacent public property/berm.
If a tree is deemed eligible for removal by the City, the City will engage a contractor to cut and remove the tree, stump, and all limbs/branches from the property in. No person shall plant, remove, cut above the ground, change grade levels, or disturb any tree on any street or other public place without first filing an application and procuring a permit from the city clerk.
